HERE & NOW (Ravensburg Sommer Akademie)

The world of clowns takes place in the present. It is a constant transit through the here and now. Even when they have a fixed structure or routine, clowns must always be alert, receptive and available to what happens in the moment and space in which they are.

PROPOSAL

The proposal of this workshop is to develop the listening of this present. To train the capacity to turn into action the different external stimuli that each "clown" receives constantly. 

To work from everything that nourishes each clown's being on stage: their wardrobe, their objects, their companions, the accidents or unforeseen events that may happen, their own emotions and the reactions of the audience that is watching.

To train the perception of these stimuli in order to be able, then, to give them place and development within their work on stage, be it in a fixed structure or in an improvisation.

Working elements: 

Comfortable clothing. 

Clown nose. 

Clown costume and extra clothes (for personal use and sharing).
