Intensive training workshop for clowns.

Previous experience required.

Clowns are communicators. We are in constant dialogue with the audience (even if what we do is not explicitly interactive). But we know that that dialogue is not made up only of words, or text.

 

How do we communicate with the audience? How do we “tell” them what we want to say? How do we perceive what they “say” to us and how do we react to that? How do we dialogue with our stage partners? How do we express what we feel and think on stage, with words or beyond words?

PROPOSAL

To explore the use of voice, sounds, and body. Words as actions. Sounds and movements as meanings.  The different possible modes of expression of the clown: with words, with gestures, with movements, with sounds, with looks.

All this, and a little more, constitutes the language of the clown.

And all of that will be the main focus of this workshop.

GOALS

To develop:

-The game and the playful spirit.

-The availability of all expressive tools: body, gesture, voice.

- Listening (internal and external) and the resulting translation of stimuli into actions.

-Contact with the audience, with one's own emotions, and with the partners on stage.

-Projection and availability on stage.

 
WORKING ELEMENTS

.Red nose with elastic.

.Comfortable clothing.

.Clown costume. Extra clothes, shoes, and accessories for personal use and to share (only during the workshop).

.Props for the scene.

.Notebook and pen.

.If you know how to play an instrument and feel like it, you can bring it.
